壹周刊 | 封面故事 千億新搶奪 2017-09-132017-09-17admin 英國佔領港島初期，將軍營置於金鐘、中環一帶；為了保安， 政府和外國商行亦將總部設置於中區。怡和早在一八四一年， 港島正式被滿清割讓前，就建設了渣甸大廈（ 現時會德豐大廈的位置），成為中環海旁的第一批商家。及後，置地亦隨着不斷延伸的中環海旁建設了太子行（現太子大廈）、 皇后行（現文華東方酒店）以及後期的康樂大廈（現怡和大廈） 等多幢臨海商廈，成為中環的大地主。
